Sinopia Asset Management has named Alfred Yip as its new chief executive for Asia Pacific, Dow Jones Newswires reports.
Yip replaces Patrice Conxicoeur, who was named director and head of HSBC's Asia Pacific institutional business last month.
Yip, who has held various positions within HSBC Global Asset Managementof which Sinopia Asset Management is its quantitative investment unitand Sinopia over the last 13 years, was most recently chief investment officer of HSBC Insurance in Asia.
